Metropop 2017: here’s the lineup

For its 17th edition, the Metropop Festival is going to treat you right ! Christmas before Christmas…! November 9th, 10th, 11th, Asaf Avidan, Dub Inc., Pablo Moses, The Blaze or Gramatik will heat up the stage of the Metropole in Lausanne.

Sounds from US modern blues to Geneva rock will open our first night! Duck Duck Grey Duck will play its latest album just released. The creative and touching Asaf Avidan will follow. After three successful albums, he will be back with “Study on falling” next November. Asaf Avidan wants to show his public that he is above all a singer and songwriter.

Friday the 10th will see beats all around! Following the breakthrough of “Virile”, the young producer-director duo The Blaze, is coming back in 2017 with their first EP “Territory”. This band is proclaimed as THE trendy revelation of 2017. And if you have ever experienced a live show of Hercules & Love Affair during one of their previous tours, be ready for their new amazing live set! In this fourth album, Andy Butler confirms his preferences for house and disco music. With a new visual show, this performance will be a blast! On top of that, Gramatik returns with a new album “Epigram”. His influences from dubstep to hip hop helped him build his own electro universe mixed with funk, jazz or trip hop. This night is presented in partnership with the Docks in Lausanne.

Raging Fyah… « raging fire » in Jamaican. Their name announces the Saturday 11th November! This band, between modernity and tradition with the voice of the leader Kumar Bent, gave a new and young spirit to reggae roots and new roots. Their new album “Destiny” stays in the same traditional line but tainted with rock or even pop hints. Immerged in the rasta movement, Pablo Moses is always at the forefront of innovation. He experiments with jazz and rock sounds and released more than 15 albums during a 40-year career. His emotion is genuine and it’s on stage that he transmits it best! Then, time for one of the best ambassadors of French reggae music around the world. Dub Inc. is back with their sixth album “So What”. The roots vibe of this piece will give you the same sensation with their amazing live show!
